As originally asked in this issue, elastic simulations are currently not supported since the original k-Wave did not have complete support for their execution with accelerated binaries.
Nevertheless the support for elastic code could be ported and tested as part of the k-Wave Python project in the future.
This discussion should be a space to discuss the migration and integration of elastic simulation code within k-Wave-python.
