Does this library work with bbdbv3?

I got all kinds of issues, like (load "bbdb-hooks") fails, file does not exist; fixing that gives me (void-function bbdb-search-simple).

OK, I can fix this with a:

(setq signature-use-bbdb nil)

in my setup.
