Title: Stuff you never know you needed in your life

  • Speaker: @pichfl and hopefully others?
  • Affiliation: Mainmatter
  • Preferred month: -
  • Duration: 60min+
  • Language: German

Short description

We spent 8+ hours a day in front of a screen and a keyboard. We got really nice screens. How about a better keyboard that fits your preference and is actually pleasant to type on?

I could throw in a intro presentation giving a brief overview over terms and common styles.

Audience

Anyone typing on their slowly breaking butterfly MacBook. Jk. Anyone who uses a keyboard.

@pichfl do you want to tell us something about keyboards on december 11th? Maybe in combination with your lightning talk?

@tim-olbrich I'm not sure I have enough time to prepare the intro presentation. I think it would make sense to ask around for people to bring their keyboards. Maybe for January?

Hi folks (@pichfl, @tim-olbrich, @ztefanie), what about adding this panel to the Web&Wine event in January or February?

I think it would be nice to do this in February and announce it at the January event in case people have more odd keyboards around than just two :D

I have a 34 key ergonomic split keyboard based on the Sweep design that I can bring :)
I need to know the date of the next meetup, though, before I can commit to the panel.

Yeah nice. It's also cool to see and test odd keyboards :D Especially since the big keyboard market ist mainly in the US.
