古文中介绍人一般用籍贯地名（“陈胜者，阳城人也”），单一个“西人”没有“不列颠人”感觉好。

根据 不列颠群岛的术语 这个参考文章，显然用“不列颠”是较妥的（取“（不列颠一词更常被当做一个政治性用语：为大不列颠与北爱尔兰联合王国的另一个名称）”这一层含义）
