Considering the good number of alternatives now available from committed developers, I am not sure if there is even a need for Superfox. |
Ohhh Mr @win32ss , we hope please there will be Superfox please for its capital importance: already just to put in each web browser different adsblocker and different video downloader extension : my plan I put in firefox cat catch and ublock origin, and in Superfox, I put for example the live stream downloader extension and other adsblocker because live stream donwloader can download jwplayer/ video js object however other donwloader extensions can"t, and put other adsblocker that can block ads that ublock origin can"t block or maybe detected by anti adsblockers.... we can also make custom modification in each browser, for example in a browser, disable or space session store, in another disable accessiblity services, use one browser especially for emails, another for downloading videos, another browser to watch live streaming withou heavy video downloaders...... there is many different adsblocker extensions and we hope to put in one browser ghostery adsblocker, in other browser adgued adsblocker or others adslockers like: dns adblock adguard ghostery AdBlocker Ultimate Stands Adblocker https://www.adskipper.me/ https://github.com/code-charity/youtube https://mybrowseraddon.com/speed-tweaks.html https://webextension.org/listing/popup-blocker.html https://github.com/filecxx/WebOptimizer actually, only r3dfox make recent firefox esr version 128, the r3dfox project can go into a pause phase, and recent firefox kernel for windows 7 are still in patch compatibility testing phase.... mercury uses firefox esr 115 not compatible with live stream downloader extension so it's good to have another fork version of firefox or firefox esr like Superfox, maybe a portable version to be able at the same time to install fiefox and the fork, maybe choose a different installation path and folder name for Superfox to be able to install the executable version of firefox and superfox browsers at the same time, thanks! |
Mr Shane @win32ss , this is the vital utility of Superfox is as follows : when I installed the browser Firefox-for-windows-7 of Mr e3kskoy : https://github.com/e3kskoy7wqk/Firefox-for-windows-7 firefox esr 128 made by Mr K4sum1 has been deleted by Firefox-for-windows-7, because we can't use Firefox-for-windows-7 and firefox esr 128 at the same time, so we hope please the hoped future Superfox will choose different locations, different path installation, different folders installation name to avoid possible conflicts with Firefox-for-windows-7 and so we can use these 2 browsers at the same time, thanks :) |
To be fair, none of those browsers target Windows XP (or even consider 2000), so I'd say that Superfox still has a place to be |
You may have missed this, but Shane (win32ss) has indicated Superfox may not be released for Windows XP or 2000 due to technical issues. |
Greetings all 😄 ; @trimechee is on Win7 SP1 x86 (by necessity), but, unfortunately, those proposed solutions won't launch under Vista SP2 x86, my OS here 😞 ... I am aware that r3dfox-128esr is compatible with my OS (with no sandbox, due to technical limitations), but I was hoping another Fx fork more close to official Mozilla Firefox would come up and be maintained for us Vista 32-bit users 😉 ... Since you have halted Superfox development, will you explore the feasibility of procuring "wrapper DLLs" that would enable either the e3kskoy or Blaukovitch 32-bit forks to launch under NT 6.0 x86? In closing, it's my humble opinion that the majority of the (actually very useful) trimechee suggestions should be better placed inside Thanks for ALL that you accomplish for the benefit of the retro-computing communities 🥇 👍 ! |
@Vangelis66 we hope this problem will be solved and you will be able to play drm videos in Supermium ! otherwise, I heard drm consumes a lot of energy, an alternative, we ca find almost all videos, tv shows, documentaries .... in streaming directories, for example: https://fmhy.net/videopiracyguide https://github.com/BUZZARDGTA/IS.Bookmarks |
Hi, just to inform the world about these good news, after my request, great Mr E3kskoy7wqk made releases of firefox for windows 7 os 32 bits:
https://github.com/e3kskoy7wqk/Firefox-for-windows-7/releases/download/136.0.0.2696/firefox-136.0a1.en-US.win32.installer.exe
and other good news, after my request, great Mr Blaukovitch make release of firefox 135 for windows 7 os 32 its days ago:
https://github.com/Blaukovitch/Mozilla_Firefox_Windows_7/releases/download/Tor4/135.0.0._x86_Firefox7.7z
it seems that the version of Mr Blaukovitch is portable, it is good and we hope also great Mr @win32ss , if it's possible and it doesn't tire him out too much, will make executable version .exe please based on firefox 135 or 136 , thanks!
Yes we already know Superfox is in preparation and based on firefox esr, firefox esr is stable and good but it's better to avoid possible bugs with the vital video downloader extensions on old machines, it's better to use more recent kernel, I advise to wait for the decision of mozilla in march if it will continue to support firefox esr for windows 7 os and wait if mozilla will update the kernel of firefox esr to firefox 136, otherwise we hope please for Superfox with a recent kernel, for example firefox 136 and not 128 est, thanks!
The developer of r3dfox browser Mr K4sum1 has already made firefox esr 128 for windows 7 os :
https://github.com/Eclipse-Community/r3dfox/releases/tag/v128.6.0
and we have already Mercury-Win7 of great Mr @Alex313031 based on firefox esr :
https://github.com/Alex313031/Mercury-Win7
so may be futureSuperfox based on firefox 136 kernel will be more good idea than old firefox esr kernel, thanks !
