Environment

  • OS: Windows 11 Home (10.22621)
  • Zotero Version: 7 Beta 53+969031a37_x64
  • Plugin Version: 1.0.0-30

Describe the feature request

This feature was available in Zutilo and will be a big loss in Release 7, unless we can place it here. It's a tool that you rarely ever use, but when you do, it's saves massive trouble. When people are new to Zotero and don't yet understand things like the Base Directory, they tend to be haphazard in how they store attachment files on their computers. Eventually they clean up their files on their hard drive and realize they've broken all the links.

Describe the solution you'd like

We need to be able to search and replace strings of text in the paths to the attachments on our hard drives. If you moved a folder of 30 items to a new place and renamed the folder, you need to find the old path in the 30 items in Zotero and remap the path to the new location.

Anything else?
