Initial request

Apply WMO codes for Tianmu-1 Meteorological Sounding Constellation: Satellite Instrument | Satellite Identifier in this website. https://codes.ecmwf.int/odb/satelliteidentifier/

The Aerospace Tianmu Satellite Science and Technology Co., Ltd company operates the Tianmu-1 constellation, which has 23 satellites in operation, producing approximately 30,000 radio occultation profiles daily. We are engaged in the ROMEX data agreement and share occultation data with ROMEX/EUMETSAT/ROMSAF, indicating our active collaboration with relevant authorities. We would like to apply our satellite identifiers for the convenience of ROMEX further data assessment and operational application.

  • Jeff suggests one entry for CCT5 for the cluster of satellites, IF needed, the satellite sub-identifier (001016) can be used to identify a particular satellite in the cluster
  • @SimonElliottEUM please bring this request to CGMS as needed

Since this is a LEO satellite, I'm suggesting code figure 540 in CCT C-5 for this new satellite cluster as noted above, and pending agreement from CGMS.

@amilan17 @jbathegit I can confirm that there were no points raised by the CGMS Task Group on Satellite Data and Codes. So we can move forward with this proposal.
