The Recommended feed feels stale compared to Desktop

We recently saw improvements in the /discover Reader page, favoring new content. These don't seem to apply to the mobile app.

Two clear problems:

• The content I see today is the same I saw 2 days ago
• New content appears in the middle of the feed

Both of these were mostly addressed for Calypso and I see somewhat new recommended content on top:

Hey, thanks for the heads up. I've investigated and there's been a change on the frontend with how it invokes the endpoints. There will be a fix coming soon that would move these changes to the backend to ensure the consistent results across the platforms.

It has been fixed on the backend, so the apps and the desktop atm are showing the same posts.
