Being able to edit the source HTML is an OK fallback, but it could be more useful to edit a single block's HTML, like it's possible on the web.

By the way, it seems that Gutenberg only offers the "per block HTML mode" for valid and supported blocks. That makes this less of a fallback in the cases where the mobile block editor doesn't support the block or the content found.
