@wtsnz I just got a subscription for the ios obs camera. I wanted to use it with my iphone as it provides the option to not only get the virtual camera image (triple camera) but also the image streams from the different physical cameras. I wanted to use 4k streaming with the wide camera as this allows me to manually set white control, iso and shutter.
Would be great if those manual configuration options could also be added to the triple camera. However, I assume this is not possible as it is a virtual camera.
Now my issue is that I would like to stream the 4k video stream of the wide angle camera via NDI, I use obs studio 30 with latest NDI tools and obs-ndi plugin.
Unfortunately, the resulting video stream is unusable. It seems like the image readout is not done on full frame sync but rather readout during image exposure. Hence object motion results in artefacts where image content of successive images is mixed up. See following image for an example. It seems to work for 1080p capture but not 4k. Would be nice if this issue could be fixed. I assume most people nowadays go for 4K and having the option to get the stream of the wide angle camera I consider essential if one wants to do postprocessing of the footage like I plan to do. This requires a manual setup of iso and white balance for color grading in post.
You can see that the book under camera motion is imaged in top half at previous frame.
