Description
Whenever someone sends a message to me, and I'm not focused on the app, the message notification sound continuously plays after you've read the message. Problem is, it should only play the sound once (or at least, as many times as the amount of messages that come through) but instead, it just does not stop, despite having read the messages already, until you re-open the app.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Open WhatsApp
Wait for someone to send a message, make sure to not be focused on the window
plays the notification sound
Does not stop playing the notification sound
Expected behavior
These notification sounds should not be playing at all after the message(s) have been recieved.
Environment
Distro: EndeavourOS (Arch Linux)
Package: Arch User Repository
Desktop: Environment or Window Manager Gnome
