content of the asset storage shall be packed into tar files (also: .gz compression).
The API endpoint takes compression commands and executes this on the asset store

@Orbiter I would like to start working on this. what parameters does the API endpoint accept? do we need to compress whole asset storage here? or ask the user for a set of parameters and compress only assets that satisfy those parameters? where should we store the compressed file?
