The PyPI page of setuptools-git points to https://github.com/wichert/setuptools-git as the home page of the project.

However, that repository doesn't include an issue tracker.

The wichert repository is forked from this repository (https://github.com/ygingras/setuptools-git) which does have an issue tracker – the one you're viewing now.

Is this issue tracker the correct place to report issues about setuptools-git?

Hello Antti,
Wichert has taken over the maintenance of setuptools-git a long time ago
but since it's a very small script and that it's not very active, it's
possible that he went dormant on it. I don't use git very frequently
these days so I don't feel like the right person to maintain the tool.
Please poke Wichert via email or pull requests. If you don't get any
reply, I'll be happy to give you the push creds on PyPI and to make you
the official maintainer.
