R crashes whenever I run SpiecEasi::symBeta

Hi there - just wanted some help with this.

I am trying to run a cross-domain network analysis and was successful previously - but somehow, now its not working.
Specifically, when I get to making the first association matrix, R crashes. I've tried restarting R, filtering taxas, adding a pseudocount etc, anything to minimize computational demand but that doesn't seem like its the problem.

I'm actually able to build the model - but R crashes when I try to make the association matrix. It was working before! Thanks

I can confirm other users have reported this issue with the new version of the Matrix library, but I haven't been able to reproduce it myself. No fix yet, sorry, but I'm looking into it.

I see - is there a way to revert to an older version so it doesnt crash?

I haven't! What error are you getting? This used to work for me before, but with the newer version, its not working . .

Please try upgrading the Matrix and pulsar packages.
