I'd like the taskbar to feel more integrated with the shell by giving it the same colors and styling as the rest of the shells menus.

For me this includes:

  • Same on hover look, on my machine other dock menus lights up and has a gray top-border of 2px.
  • Same selected look, on my machine other dock menus has a 2px top-border with the systems highlight color. The icons are also lighten.
  • Same frame for the preview as the alt-tab menu. Same background color and same font choices and font color as a regular menu on the system.

I think this also would be a sane default that looks good in most shell configurations.
