First Release of the OpenIMDML Modelica Library.
Highlights:
- Implementation of phasor-specific multi-domain (coupled to another domain via load) and electrical motor models (three-phase and single-phase), capable of coupling the electrical domain (the motor and a three-phase VSD model for motor control studies) with the mechanical domain (the driven load).
- Implementation of a VSD model that allows simulating the speed control operation over induction motors, a capability that is not found nor modeled in standard phasor domain dynamic power system tools. Because the new motor models can be coupled to the VSD model, this also implies that the motor models have frequency-varying stator and rotor impedances, which is also an improvement to the de-facto modeling. Considering the numerous advantages of using VSD’s in current induction motor applications, the Modelica-based VSD model is a crucial addition.
