Agenda

• We gave Ascent tutorial as part of the LLNL RADIUS AWS Tutorial series on 8/22
• Nicole addressed a tricky compositing bug related to negative depth values that occurred rendering a 2D dataset.
  • Reported buy IBM in support of PyFR
• It's time for us to test the VTK-m 1.9 RC
  • Nicole has already has VTK-h to VTK-m log changes fixed
• We have been tweaking and addressing lots of CI and build issues.

Discussion Topics:

• Spack Update

  • Waiting for RAJA Suite Release (One of our major blockers was resolved with Camp bug fix release)
  • Check list / issues: https://github.com/Alpine-DAV/ascent/issues/949
  • We now have ROCm CI testing, and script to build tpls with ROCm.

• Great Amalgamation Progress Report

  • Still working on merge for long standing expressions refactor
  • Right before 0.9.0 release, we will finish with some reorg of dir structures.
