Release v2.2.0
Windows 64-bit binaries.
NEW
- the latest release can now be downloaded automatically.
simply edit your MinimalistMediaPlayer.conf file and include the line
autoUpdate=yes
Then, in MMP, press Ctrl-[A] to open the [A]bout Box. MMP will connect to GitHub to find out the latest release version. If you are not running the latest version, MMP will download the latest "full.zip" file [if it doesn't already exist] and then display the About Box:
Currently, you will need to manually extract MinimalistMediaPlayer.exe from the .zip file to replace your existing .exe - automatic installation will come in a future release.
N.B. MMP will only ever connect to the internet when autoUpdates=yes and you open the [A]bout Box.
NEW
-
[F10], [F11] and [F12] can be used to open the current media file in another app.
These keys default to opening PotPlayer, LossLessCut and ShotCut, respectively.
All three can now be overridden in your minimalistmediaplayer.conf file, e.g.
F10=<full path to .exe>MMP now provides very useful editing capabilities. Consequently, like me, you might now have limited use for having [F11] open a video file in LossLessCut. If so, you might decide to reprogram F11, for example, so you can open an image file in your favorite image editing software.
Asset files
The "...full.zip" release file below contains everything you need to run Minimalist Media Player:
- MinimalistMediaPlayer.exe
- MediaInfo.dll
- libmpv-2.dll
- ffmpeg.exe
- rot.exe
Alternatively, if you already have these from a previous release, you can just download the program update:
MinimalistMediaPlayer_v2_2_0.zip
(I strongly recommend that you do not download this file from any source other than Github)
All comments and suggestions for additional functionality or to highlight operational issues will be well received over on the Discussions page https://github.com/BazzaCuda/MinimalistMediaPlayerX/discussions
Thanks for taking an interest in Minimalist Media Player!
