To get started with Android, you'll need to get familiar with Git and Repo.
Note: Syncing requires ssh for all of our repositories (including gitlab, make SURE to add it there or else sync will fail), so make sure that ssh is setup properly. Here's how to do that https://docs.github.com/en/authentication/connecting-to-github-with-ssh
To initialize your local repository using the manifest for Flamingo :-
repo init -u [email protected]:Flamingo-OS/manifest.git -b A13
Then to sync up:
repo sync -c --force-sync --optimized-fetch --no-tags --no-clone-bundle --prune -j$(nproc --all)
The source at Flamingo OS is well configured for building.
Source the build scripts:
source build/envsetup.sh
You can sync the device specific repositories with this command (it is just a wrapper around roomservice):
fetchrepos <device>
To build for a device:
launch <device> <build-variant> [OPTIONS]
For a full list of available options, run this command after sourcing build scripts:
hmm
You will now see the manual for using different functions available, including flamingo specific functions.
If you are willing to maintain a device and has got the necessary skills with git and a basic understanding of how everything works with android and the build system then dm at https://t.me/darknanobot.
