AdHoc-Query-Builder

Building SQL queries to query Relational Database without worrying about learning or knowing SQL. This is the backend for Adhoc-Query-Builder, you can use Postman to try it out. The frontend can be found here (In development). For running this project please make sure that you have MySQL and MongoDB installed on your system

Setting up the project

• This Project requires Python version above 3.8, and it is specifically built on Python 3.8.5
• Create virtual environment

python3 -m venv env

• Activate virtual env

source env/bin/activate

• Update pip

pip3 install --upgrade pip

• Installing dependencies

pip3 install -r requirements.txt

• Setting flask environment variables

export FLASK_APP=run.py
export FLASK_ENV=development (Do this step everytime when you start venv)

• Setting mysql database configurations

  • Go to "config.py"
  • Change the values of "MYSQL_USER", "MYSQL_PASSWORD", "MYSQL_DATABASE" according to your mysql configurations

• Running the application

flask run
