The **Револьвер Штурмовой калибра 12,7 (Assault Revolver Calibre 12.7)**, known in-game as the **Rsh-12**, is a suppressed pistol utilizing the .50 Cal ammunition. It was added to the game in the [v0.19.0](https://github.com/HasangerGames/suroi/releases/tag/v0.19.0) "High Caliber Negotiations" update on September 22nd, 2024. The Rsh-12 features a very low magazine size, but extreme damage.
# Background | ||
The Rsh-12 was created for Russian Federal Security Service for use in high-stakes operations. Designed by Viktor Zelenko of the KPB Instrument Design Bureau, it fires the 12.7x55mm cartridge also used by the VKS sniper rifle and ShAk-12 battle rifle. Unlike most pistols, it fires from the bottom chamber rather than the top. The RSh-12 features a gas system that is purported to be similar to that of the [M1895](/weapons/guns/m1895), and has support for a flashlight, supressor, foregrip, buttstock. Not much is know about if the RSh-12 ever entered production, and if it was ever used. In real life, the large caliber is most likely best suited for anti-material purposes in a close-quarters situation, such as shooting door locks.
# Strategies | ||
## Using | ||
- The RSh-12 has limited ammo capacity, but enough damage to kill most players in 4-5 well placed shots. Try to lure your enemies away from cover, or destroy it with a secondary weapon such as an LMG.
- You can use the RSh-12 as a good substitute for a shotgun at close ranges, with the same playstyle of peeking from cover.
- Use the RSh-12 to start the fight on a significant health advantage, as two shots will bring your opponent to half health or lower, then finish with your secondary weapon. This can also be done in reverse if the enemy is trying to retreat.
- Despite its otherwise short range, the RSh-12 can still outrange powerful weapons such as the Vepr-12, Vector, and M3k while doing significant burst damage to them.
- Wait between longer distance shots to take advantage of the First Shot Accuracy. This will waste fewer bullets to spread.
- If you're running low on ammo, find a piercing weapon and look for ammo crates. They commonly drop 20 rounds of .50 cal ammunition.
- If you find the dual variant of the RSh-12, don't hesitate to aggressively push players at close range and inside buildings. The dual DPS is high enough to win fights against anything but a Flues.
## Countering | ||
- The RSh-12 has a significant reload time and rare ammo, and every missed shot matters. Try to make the RSh-12 user to waste their ammo.
- The bullet velocity of the RSh-12 is rather low. Take advantage of this to dodge shots closer to the edge of its range.
- Use long range, accurate weapons such as the MCX SPEAR, or any DMR or Sniper Rifle to pepper the RSh-12 user down from beyond their firing range.
- Cover is especially effective against the RSh-12. Smoke grenades are equally good, as the RSh-12 user cannot afford to waste bullets blindly firing into smoke.
- If you encounter a player with the dual variant of the RSh-12, do not engage them unless absolutely necessary. The extreme burst damage and accuracy can kill even fully armored players in around a second.
# Obtaining | ||
Currently, the RSh-12 can only be obtained from the [Golden AEGIS Case](/obstacles/aegis_golden_case) located in the [Headquarters](/buildings/headquarters_meta), and from [Gold Airdrops](/obstacles/airdrops).
# Trivia | ||
- The RSh-12 is one of the three weapons which use .50 Cal ammunition. The other weapons which use .50 Cal rounds are the [Model 89](/weapons/guns/model_89) and [DEagle](/weapons/guns/deagle).

**C-4**, known in-game as **C4** is an explosive [Throwable](/throwables) added in the [v0.19.0](https://github.com/HasangerGames/suroi/releases/tag/v0.19.0) "High Caliber Negotiations" update on September 22nd, 2024. It deals high explosive damage, has no shrapnel, and is remotely activated by the player who placed it.
# Background | ||
C-4 is a plastic explosive using the RDX compound as the main explosive agent. It is part of the Composition C family of plastic explosives, and was developed as a more powerful and safe version of C-3. C-4 has been produced in colors ranging from a dirty white to an light brown color, and has the consistency of modeling clay. One of the two main strengths of C-4 is its stability. It cannot be set off from being lit on fire, being shot, being microwaved, being dropped onto a hard surface, only from the shockwave of a detonator device. The other main strength is that it easy to create shaped charges due to the clay-like consistency, and this allows it to cut through materials easier.
# Strategies | ||
## Using | ||
- To place C4, right click with it in hand. To trigger it, you can use the default keybind "Z" to detonate.
- The C4 will make a "beep" and then blow up right after.
- Good areas to place C4 are under the Detector in the [Headquarters](/buildings/headquarters_meta), behind doors, and inside [Bushes](/obstacles/bush).
- Any high-traffic area will do, and you can try and put loot around the C4 to make it harder to see
- You can use high-value loot to attract unsuspecting players by placing the bait near a bush and the C4 inside the bush. When they walk up to it, activate the C4 and watch them get blown sky-high!
- C4 takes no time to arm, so you can suicide bomb players by getting close to them, tossing two down, and activated them. Just keep in mind this will probably kill you both, even in team modes.
- Early game, one piece of C4 is usually enough to kill/knock out players, but consider using two pieces later in the game as players get better armor, as they will be able to survive one piece.
- Smoke grenades can help mask C4 if you plan to place a bunch down to try and carpet bomb some players.
- Don't destroy your teammates' C4 - it's rude.
## Countering | ||
- Shooting or blowing up C4 with an explosion will make the C4 disappear, and it will no longer be able to explode.
- You can even punch it and it will break, but this is not advisable as it could go off at any moment.
- C4 automatically disappears when a player dies.
- Be wary of potential ambushes sites and if you suspect there is C4, just shoot a couple rounds from your [Gun](/weapons/guns) to destroy it.
- Don't run through mines, even if you think a teammate placed them. Unless you placed them or saw your teammate placed them, assume they are dangerous.
# Obtaining | ||
C4 is most easily obtained as a rare drop from [Grenade Crates](/obstacles/grenade_crate).
# Trivia | ||
- When C4 activates, the texture updates to show simulate a red LED being activated.
