This PR is the outcome of this issue and based on this script I wrote to uninstall and reinstall unused kernels to reduce the apt upgrade time because otherwise all possible kernels are rebuilt even there is only one kernel used by a system. This is no issue on an RPi5 but a serious issue on an RPi2.
