+HELLO PEOPLE (and other...). It's Lucy writing this week's newsletter <3
+
+Apart from our _regular_ events (like pub and FNG) and our _courses_ that have been running for a few weeks (X-Soc Python and C) we are also playing **table tennis** at this week's **Sport Saturday** which I am _personally_ very excited for.
+
+In addition, the much awaited **WHACK** is starting this _Saturday_ - the **biggest** event of the year. To all those who got tickets (not me rip), there will be **24 hours** of fun events, free food and most importantly: **coding**! We are also giving away over **£2.8k** worth of prizes!
+

+Good evening all! Can't believe it is already November - basically Christmas.
+
+As the evenings get _colder_ and _darker_, and **coursework season** starts to KICK in, it's important to come to comp soc. This week we are running a **LAN**, where we spend the **weekend gaming**. You can find more details about the LAN below. There is also **Sports Sunday** which is **Badminton** this time. :)
+
+I also want to say a massive congratulations to the new **fresher reps**. We are all _very excited_ to see what you do for the society!

They're also going to showcase a real-world case study of a **Generative AI project** and the technical solution delivered.

+For those who don't know, a LAN is an event where **gamers unite** to play over **48 hours straight**. (You don't actually have to stay for the whole duration of LAN so feel free to _come and go as you please!_)

+We are running an **exciting lineup**, including a **UWCS quiz**, **CIV hotseat**, **Jackbox** and **card/board games** just to name a few of my favourites.
