Minimum OS levels for AdoptOpenJDK binaries

This page documents the OSs we build on, and therefore the minimum levels that can be supported. This is different from the supported platforms page which tries to capture everything we believe we are able to support and lists other distributions.

  • Linux/x86 - RHEL/CentOS 6
  • Linux/s390x - RHEL 7
  • Linux/aarch64 - RHEL/CentOS 7
  • Linux/ppcle - RHEL/CentOS 7
  • Linux/riscv -
  • Linux/arm32 - Ubuntu 16.04
  • AIX 7.1TL04 and above (builds may work on TL03, but not TL02) (HOTSPOT-based)
  • AIX 7.1TL05SP05 (OPENJ9)
  • macos 10.10
  • SmartOS 14.1
  • FreeBSD 11.0
  • Windows 2012
