Dear Madams and Sirs,

We recently started the Bioconda project to package bioinformatics software for the Conda package manager. The mission of Bioconda is to unify distribution and installation of bioinformatics software and thereby simplify reproducible research. With a team of 19 researchers from all over the world, we have already packaged over 250 tools. Bioconda recipes are hosted on Github and tested, built and uploaded automatically to our bioconda channel on anaconda.org via Travis CI.

Since we expect to soon hit the 3GB storage limit, we would like to evaluate possible custom billing plans. In particular, we would like to ask for a discount on the usual $49 per month, since we won't need private packages and expect Bioconda to promote adoption and awareness of the Conda package manager in the bioinformatics community.

For details, we cordially invite you to visit the project homepage at https://bioconda.github.io.

Sincerely,
Johannes Köster (Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health)
Brad Chapman (Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health)
Ryan Dale (National Institutes of Health)
Adam Caprez (University of Nebraska)
Alexey Strokach
David Koppstein
on behalf of the Bioconda team.
