Other texts and resources to use for inspiration

  • Modern Epidemiology: https://shop.lww.com/Modern-Epidemiology/p/9781451193282

  • Hernan’s Causal inference book (What If): This book really should be the book we use for Epi III. Unfortunately, it is just beyond the reach of most of our MPH students. I say that without any judgment. It would have definitely been beyond my reach as an MPH student. I think my job is to read it, digest it, and create a simplified, applied version that I can use (with R4Epi) for our Epi III text.

  • Statistical Modeling: A Fresh Approach: I particularly like how Daniel Kaplan describes models.

  • Introduction to presenting results
  • Effectively presenting your results
  • Effectively using tables to present your results
  • Creating tables with R and Microsoft Word
  • Creating HTML tables
  • Effectively using figures to present your results
  • Creating figures for publication and presentation

Bayesian Statistics

We would like to eventually add a part on using Bayesian statistics. Keep it very applied.
