Vision

Provide a learning experience for each team member where the standards rise to meet the industry as part of a development team.

Mission

Develop a full-stack application based on real-time messaging, that exposes the team to the development process of a product from start to finish.

Goals/Expectations

  1. Learn and execute the stages of a project's development cycle.
  2. Acquire the skills necessary to be functional in a team setting.
  3. Successfully make a MVP by the end of the voyage.

Team culture and Values

Above everything else, each of us will take this to heart going forward:

  • Treat everyone with respect.
  • Provide all feedback in a constructive manner, and receive it gracefully.
  • Embrace mistakes as part of the process. You will make them.
  • Be willing to help and ask for help. Take pride in sharing knowledge.

Roles/Responsibilities

Since we're all working towards fullstack proficiency, instead of having rigid roles, we will have preferential roles based on our objective and/or to balance work between different fronts. In addition, since styling and design seems to be our weak point overall, we will try to collaborate when it comes to it. @jidemobell, @lunogen will prioritize backend tasks. @peoray, raphaelAdile will prioritize frontend tasks. @lunogen will also act as PM for the cohort.
