to link n00b, it requires passing in a bunch of headers/lib files which are expected to already exist in ../n00b relative to chalk folder this is definitely not ideal however for now should allow to start integrating n00b without figuring out release-pipeline for n00b.a
ideally we should not require root but we can improve in the future
