Asking Questions on the Mailing List

The community is ready to help if you have questions. However, before asking a question on the mailing list, please go over this list of prerequisites:

1. Please limit messages to Deft JS-related topics. Sencha already has forums that cover Ext JS, Touch, and Sencha Cmd. Please use those for off-topic questions.
2. If you're getting an error, include the exact error message and any related information. Please DO NOT just say "it's not working", because that doesn't help us diagnose the problem at all.
3. Include the version of Ext JS or Sencha Touch you are using.
4. Include the version of Deft JS you are using, and whether you're using a released version or the latest code in the master branch.
5. Include the version of Sencha Cmd, if the question is related to Cmd. It's also probably wise to make sure you're using the latest version of Cmd, since it is updated often.
6. Use your browser console to debug or dump out any relevant variables to make sure that they are what you think they are. Please mention that you have done this in your message to the group so that we know.
