Backports the following commits to 8.x:

Resolves elastic#110000

Add support for running the date extract function on nanosecond dates.

There's the error "an enum switch case label must be the unqualified name of an enumeration constant". I'm not sure why it didn't fail in main (Behaviour changed in the JDK version?).
I'll fix it here, and then open a PR on main
