Relying on the flake registry is frowned upon because when users change the nixpkgs entry inside of it to a fork then updating the flake.lock would also change to that fork. This reverts commit 5d7ebc1.
nixos-unstable is meant for NixOS and is not being blocked by failing darwin tests unlike nixpkgs-unstable.
