gcpy/examples/hemco/make_hemco_sa_spec.py - New example script to create the HEMCO standalone configuration file HEMCO_sa_Spec.rc from a geoschem_species_metadata.yml file taken from a GEOS-Chem simulation. gcpy/examples/hemco/__init__.py - Comment out the "from .format_hemco_demo import *" statement, as this will cause the import to fail due to a sample file not being present in the examples folder. Describe the update
This PR adds a new example script to create the
HEMCO_sa_Spec.rcconfiguration file (needed for the HEMCO standalone model) from ageoschem_species_metadata.ymlfile taken from a GEOS-Chem simulation.This will facilitate updating the HEMCO_sa_Spec.rc file as new species are added into GEOS-Chem simulations and will help the GCST to keep the HEMCO standalone simulation up-to-date.
Expected changes
This is a zero-diff update as it only adds an example script, but otherwise does not change any plotting or tabling functionality.,
