Background

Erythroparvoviruses are a genus within the Parvoviridae family, known primarily for infecting vertebrates and targeting red blood cell precursors (erythroid progenitor cells) during the virus's replication cycle. The most well-known species in this genus is Human parvovirus B19, which is a common pathogen in humans.
