To build such applications, the feature "common-os" has to be enabled. For instance, the following command build `hello_world` for a monolithic OS. cargo build -Zbuild-std=std,panic_abort -Zbuild-std-features=compiler-builtins-mem --target x86_64-unknown-hermit --package hello_world --features common-os
