Description

Router plugin is designed to change live input source during rundown execution. It enables video router control and allows to assign a input to specific live event. Currently it works with following router brands:

If enabled, plugin allows selecting a input for each live item on rundown. When rundown is playing, the specified input will be assigned to all configured outputs, which should be connected to CasparCG inputs.

Actual switching is executed about 2 seconds before the item starts to allow input synchronization, unless previous rundown element is also live.

On Nevion, it also have inputs signal presence indicators.

User interface

  • On engine toolbar

  • On live event properties page

Plugin files

The plugin consists of two files: plugin code TVPlay\Plugins\TAS.Server.Router.dll and its configuration TVPlay\Configuration\RouterDevices.xml.

Configuration

Example configurations for both supported device types are in distributed configuration file.

The plugin will load only for a running engine with exactly same name as specified in EngineName attribute of RouterDevice in the file.

Also note, that Nevion inputs are identified using logical (based on router levels), not physical, numbers.
