Additional comments:
- Models download from HuggingFace on first launch (defaults to mistralai/Mistral-7B-Instruct-v0.2)
- There is no verbose logging, so this may silently take a while
- App needs to be restarted after first launch, consider running the executable from the app, i.e.,
- Right click and "Show Package Contents" of (
/Applications/MLX Chat.app) - Start from executable (
/Applications/MLX Chat.app/Contents/MacOS/MLX Chat) - Wait until the terminal says "pipe error", restart the app and will be able to use the app
- Follow terminal for additional information
