Skip remote tests for Thunderbird tinderbox builds #550
Comments
We are on TC so I think it can all go away.
CCing Fallen and rjl to confirm

|beta| and |esr52| remain, and I'm fairly sure those are gone too soon.

As it looks like those builds are only available now via the
TaskCluster index like:
https://tools.taskcluster.net/index/comm.v2.comm-central.latest.thunderbird/linux64-opt
@wsmwk <https://github.com/wsmwk> do you know whom I could ask?

CC'ing for real now: @kewisch but not sure who rjl is. As from IRC: In case of Firefox we still have all those files present. As such downloading those still works pretty well. But as it looks like we should skip those tests for TB now until we have downloading from TC in place. |
I might be missing some context; what is the question?
Everything >= ~esr60 will be in Treeherder/Taskcluster.

As mentioned in the original comment no files are getting uploaded to https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/tinderbox-builds/ anymore. As such I propose that we currently skip those Thunderbird remote tests. |
Hello @whimboo, I'll try to solve this issue if it's ok. Any further questions I should ask here or should I contact you somewhere else? |
That's great! Feel free to ask here, or if you want join us on IRC and ask me there directly. Note that I'm in the UTC+2 timezone. |
@andreheringer I want to ask if you already had the time to look into this issue, or if you have further questions. Please let me know. Thanks. |
@whimboo sorry, never used IRC before, not sure if you received my messages. |
No, I didn't receive a message from you. Sorry. :/ The CI builds (aka tinderbox builds) still exist but are no longer uploaded to archive.mozilla.org. As such the test currently fails. Once we were able to fix issue #365 we will be able to test those builds again. As such simply mark the remote tests for Thunderbird tinderbox builds as skipped. That's all what is needed here for now. |
This was fixed by PR #554. |
Tinderbox builds seem to no longer be produced for Thunderbird across all branches (comm-central, beta, esr52) and as such the expiry policy kicked in and deleted the files for
comm-central
recently. Onlybeta
andesr52
remain, and I'm fairly sure those are gone too soon.https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/tinderbox-builds/
As it looks like those builds are only available now via the TaskCluster index like:
https://tools.taskcluster.net/index/comm.v2.comm-central.latest.thunderbird/linux64-opt
