About the PR
Adds the CS Swordfish-F, a new shuttle available for purchase from the Syndicate shipyard designed for one thing: smuggling.
Lore-wise, the shuttle is an old Cybersun Swordfish torpedo bomber retrofitted for hauling cargo.
As such, it's quite a chonky shuttle, with a pre-existing cargo dock for loading munitions. What was a torpedo bay is now cargo bay.
There are a few added-on frills and syndie goodies, though not too many.
The syndicate PAI in particular opens up an uncommon ghost role for the few observers we have to take advantage of.
Ship size: Medium
Price: 100000 (though it could easily be more due to the profit-making potential) - appraises at ~19000.
Why / Balance
The syndie shipyard has been without some love for a long time, and some newer antag ships which are more of our 'own' (as in being developed specifically for our fork) is a good thing in my mind.
Right now, those who smuggle are the only ones likely to find LPB, so why not reward them by giving them access to a cool shuttle for even more smuggling?
It's a high-risk, high-reward strategy. You have to invest in the shuttle itself, which has a distinct profile - sure to raise suspicion.
The cargo dock is designed to work specifically with drop pods, allowing for rapid loading of crates into the huge hold, followed by rapid selling.
The mass scanner by the cargo dock allows for you to keep an eye on your surroundings while you work.
The significant forward thrust allows for rapid acceleration, balanced by the weaker lateral and reverse thrusters.
A basic sidearm rack is provided for self defense, but as such I didn't want to include a full one to not encourage people to go all hot and heavy with this thing. You're supposed to sneak around. It's a cargo shuttle, not a nukie shuttle.
How to test
Checkout the branch, got to LPB, buy the ship.
