This PR fixes this issue. It seems that
runmethod of the NSApplication class was utilizing the similarblocking_event_loopmecanism under the hood. In the 833799e commitrunfunction uses the config value to run the blocking loop, which isfalseby default, therefore disabling the previously working functionality.
