How We Work Together
This page is to help set expectations.
We are following the basic tenets of Open Source and InnerSource. We want to collaborate as openly as possible.
Anything posted to the GitHub repos are Public. Many of our meetings and discussions are under Chatham House Rule. Some of our discussions involve talks of internal prioritization and are not suitable for publication.
We will manage expectations of work on additional pieces and features. We have GitHub's projects enabled on all repos so that we can share what we are working on to prevent duplication of work. We also share our Public RoadMaps to also allow better collaboration. Many discussions are held in seazme.slack.com Please check in here before creating a new module or feature.
We strive to have Trusted Committers in multiple companies at a time so that one company does not dominate.
Major features that require architectural changes will be subject to a vote and may require a fork so should be discussed greatly.
https://github.com/paypal/seazme-sources is for the ingestion tools such as Confluence, JIRA.
https://github.com/paypal/seazme-hub is the setup, running and monitoring of DataHub. DataHub is where the Data is stored
https://github.com/paypal/seazme-search is the front end tooling that sits on Top of Elastic search. We may rename it to SeazMe-elasticsearch as we are exploring other tools.
