Just some notes for myself...

mkdir -p ~/rpmbuild/{BUILD,RPMS,SOURCES,SPECS,SRPMS}
[ -e ~/.rpmmacros ] || echo '%_topdir %(echo $HOME)/rpmbuild' > ~/.rpmmacros

pushd some-temp-dir
sudo yum install rpm rpm-build rpmlint wget
wget https://github.com/pcolby/pcp-pmda-cpp/blob/master/package/rpm/make-src-rpm.sh
chmod a+x ./make-src-rpm.sh
./make-src-rpm.sh

Output: ~/rpmbuild/SRPMS/pcp-pmda-cpp-<version>.src.rpm
