Thank you for visiting my page! I hope it offers you a glimpse into both my professional journey as a PhD student and my personal life.
I’m currently pursuing a PhD in computational chemistry at the State University of New York at Buffalo. My research focuses on using molecular dynamics simulations to study ribonucleic acid (RNA) structures and their phase separation propensities. I’m actively seeking a summer internship in the pharmaceutical industry, where I hope to collaborate with molecular modelers to solve complex challenges. I’m particularly excited about opportunities to work on projects that positively impact human health. I thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy learning from fellow scientists.
On a personal note, I grew up in Suzhou, China, and moved to the United States at the age of 13. My mother, an entrepreneur, has been the most influential person in my life. She instilled in me a strong sense of resilience and problem-solving, teaching me that both in business and research, failure is inevitable—what matters is finding innovative ways to move forward.
Growing up, I was very active in sports, which helped me make friends and adjust to life in the U.S. I played as a shooting guard on my high school basketball team and a pitcher for the baseball team. These days, I enjoy running and occasionally biking and swimming.
