Confirmed Bugs and Errata

• A typo in 1-8 Searching for tweets by query term that mistakenly parsed the command line arguments was fixed in https://github.com/ptwobrussell/Recipes-for-Mining-Twitter/commit/f05910566c149ce124d74373ebc60db346123668. This bug is in-print, so readers are affected and should update their source code.

• On approximately April 17th, Twitter moved their trends API from search.twitter.com to api.twitter.com (See http://groups.google.com/group/twitter-api-announce/browse_thread/thread/6f734611ac57e281/2f39498beeaa25bf?show_docid=2f39498beeaa25bf for the official announcement that this happened well after printing) and this caused a cascade of issues on page 5 of Mining the Social Web that are related to Examples 1-3 and 1-4. The details are noted at http://oreilly.com/catalog/errata.csp?isbn=0636920010203 and, unfortunately, there are potentially a few other places where the same issue arises in source code for Mining the Social Web and 21 Recipes for Mining Twitter. These will be investigated ASAP and resolved within a few days.
