This repository contains materials that can be used to promote the work of the Software Sustainability Institute by collaborators and other interested parties.
All our materials are available under open licenses that allow reuse.
Most materials are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC-BY). This allows you to use the materials in any way as long as you give us credit, but not in a way that suggests that we endorse you, your work, or your use of the materials. Please contact us if you wish to get permission for endorsement or other uses. Institute Fellows are implicitly endorsed by us through their Fellowship.
Some legacy materials are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial License (CC-BY-NC). This places an additional restriction that you cannot use these materials for commercial purposes.
Finally some artwork may be licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution No Derivatives (CC-BY-ND). This places an additional restriction that you cannot adapt the material, though format changes are allowed.
When using materials, please credit the "Software Sustainability Institute" and provide a link to our website www.software.ac.uk. You may also use our logo (though you are not obliged to).
Finally, we'd like to keep track of who's doing so to inform our stakeholders. If you've used or linked to the material, please give us some details by making a Pull Request to the file WHERE_USED.md
