Minimalistic YouTube Browser Experience

Welcome!

This project provides a filter list designed to enhance your YouTube browsing by hiding distracting elements. With ytFilterList.txt, you can suppress flashy thumbnails, YouTube channel icons and badges, tempting YouTube Shorts suggestions, live stream chat, and prevent accessing YouTube Shorts entirely.

  1. Install uBlock Origin:

    • Click on the extension icon in your browser.
    • For uBlock Origin, navigate to Settings (gear icon) and 'My Filters' tab
    • For AdBlock Plus, navigate to Settings (gear icon) > Advanced > get to the 'Filters' section
