Major Updates

• The dropdown navigation is now configurable. By default, the navigation only outputs top-level items. If you want dropdown menus, navigate to Manage > Settings > Data and put a 2 in the nav_depth field.
  • Please note: 2 is the maximum allowed navigation depth.
• We're now importing all our Sass partials via styles.scss to solve an edge case problem outlined in #74.

Minor Updates

• We sorted out some issues with the dropdown navigation displaying incorrectly on small screens.

Other Notes

On January 4th, 2017 Adam Glenn pushed some changes to the Hero module in Patterns so they align with those in Super Theme v2. If you upgrade a site with an old version of patterns, pay special attention to your Hero patterns. The new version adds the gold slash (/). Depending on how you're using the hero pattern, you may have to tweak your implementation if you find the slash undesirable.

• We've added the dropdown navigation from wvu.edu to Brand Patterns.
  • This navigation is accessible and gives you the ability to see your dropdown menu's on mobile.
  • There are some changes to the implementation of the dropdown menu (read: HTML classes, CSS & JS), so be sure to reference the commit when you go to add this to your site.
• Added Browser Sync as a dependency.
  • This gives you the ability to have live reloading and do multi-device testing.
  • Be sure to run npm install after you pull this version to get Browser Sync working.

Lots of updates since v1.2.1! Here's the highlights:

• Adam Glenn created the WVU Diptych Combo pattern, available under widgets on the patterns site.
• Profile templates are now available out of the box. Docs are available on the patterns site.

• Footer partials now reference the code repo.
  • This allows us to update the footer links if they change (looking at you HR, Facebook, and others).

Updates since the previous release:

• We're not loading a giant font stack from fonts.com anymore. We're only loading Helvetica Neue Light and Black Condensed. This reduces our font stack size from 240kb to 90kb.
• Iowan is available as a separate font package. It's documented on the patterns site and the script is available as a drop in here:

• We implemented Font Face Observer to prevent the flash of invisible text. This is especially helpful on slow networks where FOIT could be especially noticeable.
