HRCloud2 is a personal Cloud platform / CMS that gives anyone with a spare x86 PC the ability to securely host, handle, and manipulate their files from home. The "HR" in "HRCloud" represents "Honest Repair." Honest Repair was a computer repair business located in the northeastern U.S. started by the the author of the original HRCloud and HRCloud2.

The "HR" in HRCloud2 stands for "Honest Repair," a small computer repair business in the northeastern U.S that operated from 2012 to 2015 by [Justin Grimes (zelon88)] (https://www.github.com/zelon88). Honest Repair offered 3-hitch-free GB of Cloud storage using a hybrid platform of WordPress, plugins and custom PHP scripts. The original HRCloud was only ever hosted in-house on Honest Repair servers. Still skeptical of the intentions of huge Cloud providers, zelon88 started work on a more modular, complete, and user-friendly Cloud platform that users could install and maintain themselves without giving up any of the features found in commercial Cloud hosting.

Written mostly in PHP, HTML, and Javascript by zelon88, HRCloud2 also incorporates several other open-source projects that were modified specifically for use in the HRCloud2 platform. Those projects include:

HRCloud2 has a high number of dependencies for proper functionality. It is required that you closely follow the "[Installation Instructions] (https://github.com/zelon88/HRCloud2/blob/master/How_To_Install_HRCloud2.txt)" and agree to all of the licenses to each dependency. For more information about each dependency see the official "[Dependency Requirements] (https://github.com/zelon88/HRCloud2/wiki/Dependency-Requirements)."
