NFSCO ‐ Installation Guide

This page documents how to perform a fresh installation of NFSCO.

Important

If you are updating an existing NFSCO installation, start from step 5 of this guide.

Important

For Linux installations, download and install Proton, then execute bootstrapper.exe using Proton version 8.0-5.

Steps

1. Download and install DirectX 9.
2. Download Need for Speed: Carbon version 1.4 from Dropbox, MEGA, MediaFire, or Google Drive.
3. Move the downloaded archive to the directory you would like to install the game to. In this guide, we will be using C:\Games\Need for Speed Carbon.
4. Extract the archive in the directory. The directory structure should be as shown below.

5. Download NFSCO.
6. Move the downloaded archive to the game installation directory.
7. Extract the archive in the directory. The directory structure should be as shown below.

8. Execute bootstrapper.exe to play NFSCO.
