Minute notes

  • We've missed our end of March deadline for updating all the chapters with the Zipf's Law content, but edits on the outstanding chapters are either in progress or under review, so we should hopefully be done by next meeting
  • One we've hit DONE on every chapter in the table above, we'll need a similar table listing all the minor features and fixes that each chapter needs to be checked for. This will include:
  • Those people who aren't involved in the final tidy up of the intermediate Python volume can probably resume work on the novice Python (now that we've established what Python concepts are and are not covered in the intermediate volume) or intermediate R (now that we've established Zipf's Law as the intermediate data analysis problem to focus on) volumes.
    • ACTION: Damien to ask who is interested in working on novice Python or intermediate R, to get a sense of whether we possibly need to bring some more people into the project to help
  • NEXT MEETING: Should be 1 hour earlier to account for the fact that daylight savings has now started in many places in the Northern Hemisphere.
