The definition of "games” on the mobile app stores does not align with IGDB’s guidelines. Having a title listed on the app store alone doesn't automatically mean that it will be allowed. The reason is that many games on the app stores may fall under Not Supported (such as gambling, companion apps, asset flips, learning software etc.). Be careful when adding this kind of data. If you feel unsure, contact us beforehand.

Being listed on Google’s PlayStore or Apple’s AppStore is not a sufficient reason to be included on IGDB.

Titles for Mobile Games

Due to the desire for higher visibility on app stores, mobile games tend to have either multiple titles or specific subtitles for SEO purposes. When adding a mobile game, we strongly recommend that you exclude subtitles like "Match 3 games", "Action MOBA game" , "Idle Farming and Adventure game". Although we don't want the subtitle as the main title, feel free to add it as an alternative title instead.
